At the invitation of the Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering, Professor Zhu Tongxin from the University of Minnesota began to visit our Faculty for a half-month since December 15th. On December 26th, he gave a lecture on "How to write high-quality SCI papers". This lecture was jointly organized by the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) Dalian University of Technology Student Committee (IAHR-DUT-SC) and the Institute of Water Environment of the Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering. Professor Xu Xiangzhou, Associate Professor Liu Jianwei, Associate Professor Chen Xiaoqiang from the Institute of Water Environment and more than 60 graduate students from FIE participated.

Professor Zhu Tongxin shared his opinion on how to select topics, wrote abstracts, introductions and so on. He also introduced how to properly deal with the review comments of the journal. In addition, Mr. Zhu answered the students' questions and discuss with participants on some interesting topics. After the meeting, many students said that they learned a lot.

Professor Zhu Tongxin is a visiting professor hired by the Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering. He will visit Dalian University of Technology regularly every year for the next 3 years.
